Spending a Day With DK: King of Swing
This quirky GBA title is well worth playing if you are a Donkey Kong junkie
Lately, I’ve been revisiting the Game Boy Advance library and I have to say that there are some real gems on that system.
DK: King of Swing is a game that I remember being released in 2005 but I never picked up because I had already moved onto the Nintendo DS. But if you love puzzle and platforming games then this is a stellar title.
The Game Boy Advance had really put an early emphasis on handheld 3D gaming, so it was nice to see Donkey Kong make a return back to cartoon-style graphics. The game is both charming and pleasing to the eyes which is great.
Nintendo always manages to make unique games that are both fun and different, which is why DK: King of Swing is so unique. If you are used to jumping and using the A and B buttons this game is going to be a wake-up call.
