Microsoft is at it again, steadily improving the Xbox user interface. This time the user interface is going to get a whole new look. Testers will begin to get the update steadily throughout the year.

The update will be released in 2023 to the mainstream public. The new interface is set to slowly continue Microsoft’s t transition into being a complete set top box for all of your entertainment.

The Xbox Series S & X will continue to put a focal point on cloud gaming and streaming as opposed to traditional media formats.

It’s not a drastic overhaul; the current interface features rows of tiles that the user scrolls through, some of them games, others links to stores or menus, while the revised interface offers much the same experience, just with a bit more colour. -Kotaku.com Reported

As you can tell the current interface has not been updated since 2013.

And this is the modern update via The Verge.

The Verge reports that “a random subset of Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring will get access to some of the Xbox Home experiments this week,” but it’s important to note that everything you’re seeing here is in testing and in testing for a reason. That feedback from users between now and 2023 will help shape what the interface actually looks like when it’s rolled out to everyone. — Kotaku.

There is no word yet on whether this update will only be focused on the Xbox Series X/S or if it will apply to the Xbox One too. But, Microsoft has traditionally be good about legacy support so we will see what the future holds for this new UI update.
